Meredith is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the Credit Analyst position. The Credit Analyst performs credit investigations and analyzes the financial condition of new and existing clients of the Local Media Group. This employee will maintain accurate credit files and ensure the timely receipt of all required documents as set forth by corporate directives. The incumbent will be responsible for creating new account setups within the A/R system and make changes as per the direction of the client. The analyst will prepare daily, weekly and month-end reports on the status of credit investigations and bad debt and be responsible for notifying internal personnel of our findings. Essential Job Functions 50% - Performs credit investigations by contacting trade references, banks; obtains customer clearance data from services such as (BCCA) and Dunn and Bradstreet. Approves credit request from stations on a limited basis when directed by the he Sr. Credit Analyst Director Credit Collections. Monitors contracts for new accounts to make certain credit applications are on file and booked correctly. 45% - Assists the Director Credit Collections in the preparation of the monthly reporting package to Corporate and Broadcasting Management. Maintains credit files. 5% - Provides administrative support to the credit department and hub business office as required. Completes special projects as required by the Sr. Credit Analyst or Director Credit Collections. Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements | All must be met to be considered. Education: Completion of high school, or equivalent. Four year degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration preferred. Experience: Minimum two years experience in commercial credit. Experience in a credit role in a broadcast television station highly preferred. Proficiency with MS Office products including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Past experience with Oracle financial systems and Hyperion is highly preferred. Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ability to adhere to strict deadlines and complete work assignments in an accurate and timely manner. Must be adaptable and flexible with the ability to shift focus on new priorities. Strong interpersonal skills. Good verbal and written communication skills. Must be team oriented and have had past successful experience working in a team environment. Good organizational and time management skills. Ability to handle and maintain confidential customer and company information.
