Sr. Project Lead Engineer, KNXV/KASW
KNXV, The Scripps ABC station in Phoenix, AZ, is hiring a Sr. Project Lead Engineer. You'll be responsible for engineering projects including assisting with capital budget, capital purchasing, building contracts and leases, facility management, long term planning safety and engineering budget.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
o Assist with managing and implementing capital budget projects and capital purchasing.
o Responsible for building contracts and leases.
o Responsible for facility management and for long term planning aimed at sustaining a state-of-the-art broadcast facility. Manage facility upgrade projects and building systems repair.
o Maintain compliance with OSHA environmental rules and regulations and oversee safety committee. Facilitate safety training when needed.
o Assist in the preparation and management of departmental expense budget.
o Involved in long term station strategic planning.
o Design, document, and implement audio/video/RF systems as related to capital projects.
o Performs other duties as needed and directed by Director of Engineering, IT manager and General Manager.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
o Bachelor’s degree, four-year electronic technical degree, or equivalent work experience.
o 3 years of Broadcast Engineering management. 5 years broadcast engineering maintenance or equivalent. 2 years new equipment maintenance.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
o Familiar with various test equipment and knowledge of personal computers.
o Valid driver’s license and good driving record required. In addition, proof of insurance and liability coverage may be required.
o Ability to work well with other people.
o Comprehend schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical manuals.
o Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
o Work evenings and/or weekends as needed.
o Apply team-building concepts with the goal of achieving a cohesive work group.
o Heavy spreadsheet experience and financial process understanding required.
