Sports Anchor/Reporter

WGN-TV is looking for the right candidate to join our sports department as a reporter and anchor for our evening and late newscasts, and our nightly show GN Sports. Responsibilities: -Writes and delivers sports stories in a clear and concise manner -Displays vast knowledge of teams, players and storylines, especially those relevant to the Chicago market at the professional and collegiate levels -Responds to breaking sports news and events and other situations as required -Travels as needed for sports coverage -Enterprises, develops and produces stories under strict deadline pressure -Coordinates with the digital team to make sure our website and social media are properly updated Qualifications: -Five (5) years of experience anchoring or reporting sports for television, preferably in Chicago -General knowledge of all Chicago sports teams -Bachelor's degree in Journalism, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience -Excellent communication skills, both oral and written -Required to join AFTRA *Must include a link to online reel when applying.
