WGN-TV is searching for a creative, informed and innovative producer for evening newscasts on weekdays and weekends. Duties/Responsibilities -Produce strong, fast-paced, hour-long newscasts with particular attention to breaking news -Work closely with other producers, field crews and the assignment desk to maximize daily resources and appropriately reflect the news of the day -Write captivating teases and review writers’ scripts -Create and order graphics for newscasts -Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously Requirements/Skills -Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, or a related field -Excellent communication skills, both oral and written -Desktop editing skills preferred -Minimum three years’ experience in news operations -Leadership ability, positive attitude and creativity a must Nexstar Media Group (NASDAQ: NXST) is a leading diversified media company that leverages localism to bring new services and value to consumers and advertisers through its traditional media, digital and mobile media platforms.
