The Ohio Valley Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS) seeks a dynamic individual for the position of Executive Director. The person chosen for this position is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the non-profit organization and should reside in one of the four states the Ohio Valley NATAS Region serves which includes Ohio, Kentucky, West Virginia, and Indiana. Duties of the Executive Director include, but are not limited to: -Act as the primary contact for all activities relating to the Ohio Valley chapter of NATAS annual Emmy Awards ceremony. This includes coordination of the call for entries as well as submissions, distribution of entries for judging, invoicing for entries, coordination of event venue selection, and all ceremony planning and production activities. -Manage and coordinate all other chapter activities throughout the year, including student awards ceremonies, judging of entries for other NATAS regions, and assisting all chapter standing committees. -Act as the primary liaison between the Ohio Valley chapter and the National Office of NATAS. -With oversight by, and coordination with the Chapter’s Treasurer, the Executive Director performs basic and essential accounting and budget functions. Functions would include monthly balance statements, submitting financial reports for the organization’s Board of Governors, and filing of all pertinent tax related documents. The Executive Director is also responsible for paying accounts due, as well as invoicing. -Coordinate and schedule bi-monthly meetings of the chapter’s Board of Governors, as well as attend said meetings and other Board related events. The Executive Director will work from home, but it should be understood that some occasional travel throughout the region and the United States could be possible. The ideal candidate will have the ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing and have extremely strong interpersonal and organizational skills. A background in television or media production is desired. The position requires a valid driver’s license. The compensation is a negotiable, salaried position.   ABOUT OHIO VALLEY NATAS: The Ohio Valley Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences includes more than 750 members from television stations, video production, content creators and media production facilities in Columbus, Cincinnati, Dayton, and Zanesville in Ohio; Huntington and Charleston in West Virginia; Lexington, Louisville and Bowling Green in Kentucky; Evansville and Terre Haute in Indiana. The organization coordinates outreach to members in each of those cities, as well as accepts Emmy Award entries from each, and recognizes excellence among individuals and groups with Ohio Valley Chapter Emmy Awards.
