Weekend PM Anchor/MMJ/Producer

WTHI-TV is seeking an experienced Anchor/Producer/MMJ. We’re a smaller market station, but we take news seriously. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Includes the following (other duties may be assigned): • Anchor Sat/Sun 10pm, and 11pm 30 minute newscast • Prepare, write and edit scripts for newscasts and online and social networking products • Produce newscasts for air • Report news stories when assigned • Be a strong storyteller • Contribute story ideas on a regular basis, organizational skills and work under pressure a must • Develop and maintain contacts and news sources throughout the viewing area • Make public appearances • Other job related duties as required Job Requirements: • Strong writing and communication skills • Strong news judgment • College degree in journalism or related field • Valid Indiana or Illinois driver’s license and clean criminal/driving record Special Skills (Preferred): • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under pressure of strict deadlines • Non-linear editing • ENPS • Web Publishing Skills • Background Check ********* EOE/MINORITIES/FEMALES/VETERANS/DISABLED ********* About Allen Media Broadcasting: Allen Media Broadcasting offers strong benefits including health, vision, dental and life insurance for full-time employees and a 401(k)-contribution plan for all employees.
