Join our News Team as a Part-Time Photographer/Editor. Responsibilities: The Photographer/Editor is responsible for operating cameras, non-linear editing systems, microwave equipment, and cellular bonding equipment in support of electronic newsgathering operations. Qualifications: •Bachelor’s degree in broadcasting or a related field, or equivalent experience required •Strong understanding of spot news coverage with an eye for creative storytelling •Ability to safely operate and maneuver a live truck •Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs •Work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays •Strong communication skills and sound editorial judgment •Familiarity with Chicago city streets is a plus •Experience with Adobe Premiere preferred •3–5 years of television news gathering, editing, and microwave experience required •Valid driver’s license required •Become a member of IBEW local 1220 television broadcast engineers’ union.
