KLAS – TV 8 3228 Channel 8 Dr. Las Vegas, NV 89109 Position reports to title: General Sales Manager Work hours schedule: Full Time: Mon-Fri 8a-5p Non-exempt (eligible for over time): Brief description of duties & responsibilities: Performs all clerical functions for the Sales Department. Maintains awareness of the most current traffic policies, practices and procedures. Enters order, traffic and accounting data using computers, ledgers, orders and other resources. Corresponds with customers and confers with coworkers to answer inquiries and resolve account problems. Prepares forms, reports, letters, and program formats. Monitors inventory for correct formatting. Maintains files and other business records. Performs other duties as assigned. Work experience and education required for position: High School diploma, college degree preferred. Minimum one year’s experience in clerical support or administrative assistance, preferably in the sales or media fields. Proficiency with computers, telephones, copiers, scanners, fax machines and other office equipment. The Sales Assistant must be able to sit, conduct telephone conversations, use electronic mail, write letters and memos, conduct face-to-face discussions with individuals or groups, make decisions without supervision, make decisions that impact the results of co-workers, and work indoors in environmentally controlled conditions. Special Skills Required: Fluency in English. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (i.e. Power Point, Excel, Word). Knowledge of OSI, Strata, and Rentrak/Comscore a plus!
