Requisition Number: 194487BR Area of Interest: Cable Television Production, Editorial, Network Television Production, News, Television/Programming Position Type: Full Time JOB OVERVIEW: Edit video; operate audio console and robotic cameras during the production of live and recorded television news content and programming from multiple control rooms, studios and remote locations. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Edit news wheel content using non-linear editing systems. Archive news footage. Operate robotic camera controls and audio mixing console. Promote teamwork and a positive work environment. Set-up and maintain studio equipment. Contribute to audio and editing documentation and workflows. Perform other duties as assigned. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: College degree with a concentration in television production or equivalent experience preferred. Should have at least two years’ experience working in a fast paced television newsroom environment, editing daily news content using non-linear editing systems and/or audio board/robotic camera control operation. KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES: Applications: Requires strong technical aptitude and experience with television control room and studio production technology including audio mixers, robotic camera controls, production automation systems, newsroom editorial software, file transfer protocol and non-linear editing system. Must have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to clearly communicate with all levels within the organization and with on-air guests Must have the ability to organize and manage shifting priorities under tight deadlines and in pressure situations. Must have the ability to multi-task and adapt quickly to change. Teamwork: Requires adaptability, enthusiasm, initiative and a positive approach to problem solving. Must work effectively within a team environment. Must be able and willing to work different shifts and be flexible with schedule changes. Must adhere to attendance guidelines. Communicates in person, by phone and by email. Must be able to work under time pressure deadlines and willing and able to work different shifts or longer shifts due to "breaking news" and severe weather emergencies. Willing and able to work weekends and holidays. Push/pull/maneuver equipment up to 50 lbs. Materials and equipment used: various studio and control room television equipment, computers and computer-related equipment. Must be able to distinguish colors and discern sounds.
