Nashville Public Television is looking for an HR Generalist that is committed to our mission and will bring value to our organization and the community we serve. This role is responsible for administration and management of all aspects of Human Resources including ensuring the organization possesses the people, skills and capabilities to develop and execute the mission of Nashville Public Television. The right candidate will build trust and a human resources culture that leads through transparency, inclusion and respect. Responsibilities • Provide excellent customer service while managing the day-to-day operations of human resources • Support management with recruitment and retention efforts with a focus on increasing diversity, equity and inclusion • New employee onboarding and exit evaluations • Payroll and benefit administration • Maintain compliance with all governmental and industry laws, regulations and standards as they apply to NPT • Employee relations, conflict management and grievance resolution • Take an active role in organizations diversity strategy • Organize and schedule employee training • Monitor and keep all HR policies and procedures up-to-date • Manage student internship program and attend career fairs • Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field • HR Certification • Minimum of 5-7 years increasing responsibility in human resource administration • Comprehensive knowledge of human resources policies and best practices • Thorough knowledge of employment related laws and regulations • Current knowledge of FCC/EEO outreach and reporting compliance • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Ability to act with integrity, confidentiality and professionalism • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills • Experience using ADP Workforce Now a plus • Problem solving, adapts to change and proactively identify actions needed • Detail oriented, ability to multi-task, manage priorities and meet deadlines • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Outlook, Word and Excel
