WKYT – home to Lexington’s highest rated newscasts – is looking for a part-time weekend photojournalist/editor. We’re looking for someone who wants to be a pioneer in the next generation of news gathering. We report news on every platform available to our viewers.
Duties of this job include monitoring scanners, making beat checks, creative shooting, information gathering, and editing video. Must be able to work well under strict deadline pressure.
The successful applicant must be a self-starter, with knowledge of and ability to operate state-of-the-art television news equipment.
Successful candidates will have a demonstrated ability to shoot video, gather information, and edit video for our newscasts. You’ll use the latest technology, including lightweight next generation video equipment and desktop editing.
