WBKO-TV, an ABC, FOX and CW affiliate, has an immediate opening for a journalist who can report as well as produce a newscast when needed. WBKO is one of more than 50 television stations owned by Gray Television, Inc.
Duties: Provide content for daily live newscast as well as mobile platforms. Work with or without a photographer to gather and edit compelling video and sound. Develop a network of sources. Contribute pictures, video and text updates to mobile platforms consistently throughout the day. Other responsibilities, including producing a live newscast, as needed.
Candidate must possess strong verbal and written communication skills including excellent news writing and visual story-telling ability. Creativity a must. Should be able to work with news crews and content to deliver the best live show possible under the daily pressure of live news production. Previous experience preferred. College degree in journalism or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
